It looks like a grocery store from the outside but as soon as you walk in you step into the dining room of a restaurant that just so happens to have groceries. Most of them are dry goods but hey, they have cinnamon so big and fragrant, tamarindo pods as big as your hand, and all the dried hibiscus you'll need. This is also known as flor de Jamaica which translates to "flower of Jamaica". Just so you know. I don't get my flower here I come here for the food. This day I had the pork chop special. Dang, that's a lot of food for not so much money. The menu has a lot to offer and everything has been great. There are a lot of places that have a better atmosphere and maybe better this and that but the food was good and the beer was cold, and it was cheap. So if your looking for Mexican food this place is on Broadway and a safe bet. You'll see locals here, including me and that tells you something.

First time trying this place very authentic and great food i ate the green pozole and it was a huge blast of Mexican flavors, my girl got the fajita plate and she didn't speak the whole time means it was great food , our whole experience here was really good and specially becouse they have fresh sweet bread in the entrance with nice hot strong coffee, the waitress that served us was very nice and professional answered all our questions being our first time here and help me choose my plate thanks for everything we will be back to enjoy your great food and good service , VERY RECOMMENDED by a really picky eater

My Favorite Restaurant on Galveston Island. Equadorian and Mexican Food Restaurant and Grocery Store. Can't go wrong with the Shrimp, Fish, Pork or Chicken Dishes. The Pozoli (Pork Soup) is amazing. Huge Equadorian Pork Tamale's wrapped in Banana Leaves are delicious and filling.

delicious, authentic food with decent prices especially for being by the seawall. they had over 40 menu items with homemade tortillas, and big portions. i had leftovers. kids menu had many options as well and my 5 year old loved the chips and salsa. it’s in a super market with a meat market with a full dining area

We randomly ended up at this place one night to satisfy our " barbacoa's" craving. At first, it felt a bit odd eating inside a supermarket but oh boy, the food tasted amazing. This felt really like a mother's food at home and the portions were really big. Great food, nice service and really good prices. If you are in town and craving Mexican food, make sure to stop by.

Super cute place, lively music. Our server was Loli for a table of 9. She was very attentive and great personality. Food came out promptly, everything was delicious. What's cool here is that it is also a grocery store, a good variety of items plus household products, charcoal and blankets for cold weather. Stop by, you won't be disappointed. Came back again Monday , same great service. Thank you Loli.

I came here on a review from google. Glad i did. I ordered the fried fish and it's AMAZING. The fish was crispy and seasoned well. Fries, rice, Pico and tortilla were on point. Will eat here again next time I'm in Galveston. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
